Sgt. TeJuan Johnson’s Obituary

Te’Juan Fontrese Johnson, 47 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.He was born on April 26, 1973 in Louisville, KY.

Te’Juan was a Sergeant with the Charlestown Police Department, he also worked security for Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN and St. Stephens Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. Te’Juan was a member of the Church of the Living God in Louisville, KY. He loved his vehicles including his motorcycles, the F.O.P. and his family and was known as a prankster.

Survivors include his fiancé, Bobbie Jo Gilbert; mother and step father Carolyn Johnson (Dennis) of Jeffersonville; father and step mother, Rev. Fred (Zelma) Johnson of Louisville; children, Katelyn Bowman of Louisville, Trent and Avery Gilbert of Charlestown and Jaden Johnson of New Albany; sisters, Nicole (Riley) Fitzpatrick of Jeffersonville, Nikolla (Shawn) Dalton of Atlanta, GA; brothers, David Jones of Cincinnati, OH, Rodney (Keisha) Johnson of Louisville, KY and Jayme (McKenzie) Johnson of Charlotte, NC and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at Charlestown High School with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN.

Visitation will be at Charlestown High School on Sunday Dec. 6, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday.
