Aizak D. Phillips, 22, of Louisville (KY), was located and arrested by officers of the Charlestown Police Department just after midnight Friday night; relating to a disturbance involving a weapon investigation hours earlier in the 300 block of Fairfield Avenue.
CHPD Officers were dispatched to the area of Fairfield Avenue around 4:45 pm Friday evening; after receiving several complaints of a hearing a disturbance and gun fire. Upon arrival to the 300 block of Fairfield Avenue, officers learned that a firearm was discharged during an altercation; and that the shooter had left the area in a light blue/grey Chevy Malibu.
CHPD Detectives were requested to the scene, who assisted with securing information and collecting evidence. Detective Major Jason Broady issued a BOLO for Phillips to all area law enforcement; before being located and apprehended a short time later by Sgt. Eric Kruse and K9 Officer Alex Billings.
Aizak Phillips was been preliminarily charged with Felony Criminal Recklessness, Felony Intimidation, and Carrying a Handgun without a License; before being transported to Clark County Jail.
All suspects and defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
