CHPD K9 Hurly Tracks Down Fleeing Suspect

During the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 17th, officers of the Charlestown Police Department responded to the area of County Road 403 and Stony Point Road to assist Clark County Sheriff Deputies with locating a Jeffersonville man who had just fled the scene of a traffic accident on Stacy Court, driving a dark colored Toyota sedan. After a short pursuit, the suspect abandoned his vehicle in the 6700 block of County Road 403 and fled north on foot into the nearby adjacent fields and wooden areas. CHPD Sgt. Adam Clark and his K9 partner Hurley (shown in the adjacent photo immediately following the incident) arrived on scene and began a track of the fleeing suspect; locating him without further incident over a mile away and 20 minutes later. The suspect was arrested and charged with multiple offenses by Deputies of the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
