The Charlestown Police Department is comprised of 16 full time academy certified police officers, including the Chief, a Detective, and a Youth Resource Officer. The Department is supplemented with 15 certified and trained Reserve Officers. The Department proudly serves the growing community of Charlestown, in the south central Indiana county of Clark, with a current estimated population of 8,500+.
